The
development of facebook is now growing rapidly, even now facebook can make
money. One way to make money from Facebook is through video reels. Meta invests
heavily in Facebook Reels, Reels is a short video feature like TikTok from
social media company Facebook. Creators who meet the requirements can now embed
ads in their Reels or take monetized challenges to earn money, and viewers have
a new option to tip their favorite artists or creators in the app.
How to monetize Facebook reels
Advertisement
Creators with more than 10,000 followers, at least five videos, and 600,000 minutes of views in the past 60 days are eligible to embed ads in their Reels. This new advertising option is currently available in the US, Canada, Mexico and 50 other countries. According to TechCrunch, overlay ad revenue will be split: 55% for content creators and 45% for Facebook.
Prior to the announcement, content creators on the site could only include ads on their Facebook videos. The new Facebook Reels overlay ads allow users to place a marketing bumper directly over their Reels, like a sticker. Banner ads, semi-transparent overlays on the bottom of the Reel, and sticker ads will be available; the latter can be placed anywhere on the Reel.
Star
Meta also announced that it will soon be allowing viewers to send stars to content creators while watching their Reels. For every star received, the creator gets one penny from Meta.
Bonus
program
Since launching Reels, Meta tested many ways for creators to monetize their projects, including the Reels Play bonus program, which pays "bonuses" to anyone whose Reel gets at least 1,000 views over a 30-day period. The Reels Play bonus program pays creators up to $35,000 per month, but this is an invite only feature.
Challenge
Meta recently announced that they will also be giving bonuses to creators who publish original Reels on Facebook. Their challenge incentive program allows creators to earn up to $4,000 per month by completing sequential cumulative challenges. When a creator completes one challenge, the next challenge unlocks—until the end of the 30 days, when progress resets. At the current stage, creators must be invited to the Reels bonus program to earn money through challenges.
To
get this feature, users must activate professional mode. To activate it, follow
these steps:\
Through
the Application on the Mobile
1.
Open the Facebook application on your
cellphone and log in to your account
2.
On the main page, select the Account menu
with a profile photo icon with three lines at the top right
3.
Select the Profile option, which has a
profile photo icon + account name
4.
Select the Options icon with three dots next
to the Edit Profile and Add to Story menus
5.
Select the Turn on professional mode menu
6.
Press the Turn on button below
7.
Then, press the Done button on the Welcome to
professional mode
via
Web pop-up menu
1.
Access the Facebook site via a browser and
login account
2.
On the main page, press the Account menu with
the profile photo icon at the top right
3.
Select the Profile option with a profile
photo icon and account name
4.
Select the Options menu with the three dot
icon parallel to the Posts, About, and other menus
5.
On the pop-up menu that appears, press the
Turn on professional mode option
6. Next, press the Done button on the Welcome to professional mode pop-up menu
After the account has successfully become Professional mode, you can access the View Tools menu to go to the Engagement page which consists of four main menus including Insights, Page Overview, Content, and Audience. Later the Insights menu can present a summary of data from Page Overview, Content, and Audience. The Page Overview menu will display in full the range of posts that have been uploaded, the number of users who viewed the post, reactions to the post, people who shared the post, post comments, the latest followers, and others.
